A need for beautiful and properly made mid-century furnishings at an approachable price arose in 2009 which led to founding Organic Modernism in Brooklyn, New York. Marcel Breuer’s Wassily chair, is maybe one of the most iconic furniture designs of all occasions. Our design inspiration is rooted within the enduring actions of the past, including Shaker, Asian, Mid-century Trendy, Danish and Arts & Crafts. Similar to Breuer’s Wassily chair, Mies created this piece for Barcelona’s International Exhibition in 1929, yet it’s practically synonymous with mid-century trendy design.
